Benefits of Using a East Village, NY Cannabis Delivery Service

Initially, the thought of having a marijuana delivery service bring your buds right to your door might seem pretty surreal; like a scene out of Grandma’s Boy, Half Baked, or one of those other classic stoner flicks. In the 21st century, however, there have been some pretty significant changes in the world of marijuana across the country, including right here in New York. Not only is it legal to use weed for medicinal purposes, but it’s now legal to use it recreationally, too!

As if the legalization of bud wasn’t awesome enough, to take the awesomeness factor up another level, you can now have it delivered to your front door. Marijuana delivery services are popping up all over the place in New York County, which is totally amazing! It’s completely understandable, however, that you might be a bit hesitant to give it try; however, once you consider the following benefits, there’s no doubt that you’ll want to place an order with a local East Village, NY cannabis delivery provider as soon as you’ve finished reading this.

Accessibility

While recent legislation has made the purchase of medicinal and recreational marijuana legal, it isn’t necessarily easier for everyone to purchase it. Dispensaries are required to adhere to a long list of rules and regulations; for example, they can only operate in specific areas and entire counties can opt-out of permitting these facilities from operating in your area completely. If you don’t live in an area where dispensaries are permitted and it takes you 30 minutes, an hour, or even more to get to one, the fact that it’s legal to purchase it won’t do you a whole lot of good, will it?

With a East Village, NY cannabis delivery service, however, you won’t have to worry about trying to figure out how to access the weed that you seek. Just place an order with a reputable marijuana delivery service they’ll deliver your bud right to your door!

Convenience

Food, clothing, electronics; thanks to the myriad of delivery companies, it’s never been easier to have the things that you need delivered wherever you need them. Well now, with marijuana delivery services popping up across New York County, getting your bud is easier and more convenient than ever before, too! When you’re running low on supply or you want to give a new strain a try, there’s no need to worry about driving to a dispensary, contending with traffic, or wasting gas (and with the rising cost of fuel, that’s definitely a plus) to get your bud; just head to the website of a credible company that offers East Village, NY cannabis delivery, complete your purchase online, and presto! – You’ll have your weed without ever having stepped a foot out of the house.

Privacy

For a lot of ganja users, discretion is important. Say you’re the CEO of a company and you don’t want your employees to know that you use weed to ease your anxiety or to just chill out after a stressful day at the office; well, with East Village, NY cannabis delivery, your secret will be kept safe. You won’t have to worry about running into your employees or anyone else on your way to or at the weed shop.

Some information about East Village, NY

The East Village is a neighborhood on the East Side of Lower Manhattan in New York City. It is roughly defined as the area east of the Bowery and Third Avenue, between 14th Street on the north and Houston Street on the south. The East Village contains three subsections: Alphabet City, in reference to the single-letter-named avenues that are located to the east of First Avenue; Little Ukraine, near Second Avenue and 6th and 7th Streets; and the Bowery, located around the street of the same name.

The area that is today known as the East Village was originally occupied by the Lenape Native Americans. The Lenape relocated during different seasons, moving toward the shore to fish during the summers, and moving inland to hunt and grow crops during the fall and winter. Manhattan was purchased in 1626 by Peter Minuit of the Dutch West India Company, who served as director-general of New Netherland.

The population of the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam was located primarily below the current Fulton Street, while north of it were a number of small plantations and large farms that were then called bouwerij (anglicized to ‘boweries’; modern Dutch: boerderij). Around these farms were a number of enclaves of free or ‘half-free’ Africans, which served as a buffer between the Dutch and the Native Americans. One of the largest of these was located along the modern Bowery between Prince Street and Astor Place, as well as the ‘only separate enclave’ of this type within Manhattan. These black farmers were some of the earliest settlers of the area.

There were several ‘boweries’ within what is now the East Village. Bowery no. 2 passed through several inhabitants, before the eastern half of the land was subdivided and given to Harmen Smeeman in 1647. Peter Stuyvesant, the director-general of New Netherland, owned adjacent bowery no. 1 and bought bowery no. 2 in 1656 for his farm. Stuyvesant’s manor, also called Bowery, was near what is now 10th Street between Second and Third Avenues. Though the manor burned down in the 1770s, his family held on to the land for over seven generations, until a descendant began selling off parcels of the property in the early 19th century.
